1. kEEP IT LIGHT FOR TEMPERATURE SPIKES

So you checked the weather app and it says the temperature is 70 degrees but now you're wondering why you're sweating through that long sleeve cotton shirt - Welcome To Texas! Ha! Never trust the app. At any moment, Texas will decide to spike up temperature and you need to be prepared. So I recommend keeping your outfit light and breezy just in case. This mesh sleeved shirt from Forever XXI is perfect for Texas weather. It'll let a little bit of breeze in case temperatures rise and I can always add a light cardigan when temperatures fall.

2. Knee highs SAVE LIVES

Knee boots are like super long socks but not as childish and they just scream Fall. Knee high boots can be paired with a dress, jersey, oversized shirt or even shorts. So they're basically a replacement for pants in a way to keep you from having a heat stroke. Let's be honest less is more in Texas! Ha! So I'm rocking my favorite knee high boots from BooHoo that pretty much go with my style. I can rock a real chill outfit and throw on these boots to add a little bit of flair.

3. Don't box up The Shorts, yet!

Summer is almost over so you're packing up all your summer dresses and shorts but WAIT - It's still going to be hot for a while. In Texas, it doesn't start getting chilly until late October and even then the temperatures are still up and down. So you can pair your shorts with thigh high boots or extra long shirt or even a pair of cute stocking for a super chic look. I know you want to pack on layers like a New Yorker but.. Girl, I'm trying to save you from heat stroke; Texas does not play!
